The annual seminar is organized alternately in Estonia and Finland. Hence the next Finnish-Estonian Seminar of Remote Sensing will take place in Finland next year.

There were 26 participants from Estonia, Finland and even Denmark in Finnish-Estonian Seminar of Remote Sensing this year in Tõravere. Researchers from Tartu Observatory, University of Tartu, Estonian University of Life Sciences, University of Helsinki, Aalto University, University of Eastern Finland, Finnish Meteorological Institute and University of Copenhagen met to discuss wide range of topics related to remote sensing.

Presentations covered topics from physical to ecophysiological remote sensing and from passive (optical) to active (lidar) techniques of remote sensing. Seminar helps to maintain strong international collaboration in fields of remote sensing.
