Both of the jobs are a great opportunity to be a member of a top professional team in the field. Working at the observatory also gives you the chance to participate in international reserach and development projects – co-operated e.g. with the European Space Agency, Horizon 2020 and other research funding schemes. Other than that we enable professional self-development and modern environments in the laboratories of Space Technology and Optical Radiometry.

We are looking for applicants who have higher education (bachelor’s or master’s degree) in technical field and are fluent in English.

The applicants for the electronics engineer position should have experience with programming of microcontrollers as well as designing and building of electronic systems. These will be some of the tasks of the engineer. Besides those, the main tasks of the electronics engineer will be designing of control and power supply systems and of multilayer printed circuit boards, as well as preparation of technical documentation.

Our future engineer of optical radiometry is expected to have experiencein laboratory to plan, perform and analyse measurements independently – these are some of the operations which they would do working at the observatory as well. They should also have the ability to set up and use automatic measurement systems, computer control and automatic data acquisition. Besides radiometrical measurements the main tasks for the engineer of optical radiometry would be calibration of measurement instruments including proper related paperwork and documenting of results. The job also includes maintenance and development of measurement systems.
